How to Use the Scanner
- Equip the scanner from your tools menu
- Look for birds perched on trees, rocks, or flying overhead
- Aim the scanner at the bird (it will highlight when in range)
- Hold the scan button until the progress bar fills
- Successfully photographed birds are added to your collection!
- Birds have detection ranges - crouch and move slowly for rare species
- Some birds only appear during specific weather - check your in-game watch
- Level up birdwatching to unlock new areas and bird types
- Scan the same species multiple times for bonus rewards
