Common Questions
❓ Can I adopt multiple pets?
Yes! You can adopt multiple cats and dogs, but they'll all need daily care. Start with one until you're comfortable with the mechanics.
❓ Can I change my pet's name or traits later?
No. Names and personality traits are permanent once you adopt. Choose carefully!
❓ What happens if I don't feed my pet?
Neglected pets won't die, but their happiness decreases and they may run away temporarily. Always keep hunger and happiness above 50%.
❓ Do pets help with gameplay?
Pets with certain traits (like Energetic) can assist with minor in-game tasks, but their primary purpose is companionship and the pet caring hobby.
❓ Can I breed pets?
Pet breeding is not currently available in Heartopia (as of January 2026).
